At Bamboo we are on a mission to redesign the server for the modern data center. Today’s servers are stuck in legacy architecture designed back when software only needed single threading, and when no one was worried about how much electrical power data centers would one day consume. Today’s software led by container-based development needs to support massively parallel workloads for high throughput computing.  Data Centers are consuming a significant percentage of the world’s power and even with efficiency and recycling initiatives need a new answer.  Bamboo’s PANDA architecture delivers the high throughput modern software needs, while reducing the power consumption by as much as 95%.

Our founders are from academia bringing a respect for research, innovation, and collaboration, along with expertise in HPC, HTC and ARM technologies. Combined with our management team that comes from a commercial background, we have the right balance to make sure that innovation is relevant to the market.

Senior Hardware Engineer

Job Description

The position of Senior Hardware Engineer is required to play a key role in the design, development, validation, certification and transfer to production of new hardware designs and to maintain and improve existing designs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hands on hardware design, development, validation and transfer to production of server class systems based on high-speed application processors and supporting multiple high-speed interfaces
  • Contribute to the technical definition of products on the technology roadmap
  • Full lifecycle support of the Kaleao product line
  • Supporting product compliance testing
  • Mentoring of junior engineers

Essential Requirements

  • 7+ years of ARM, Intel or AMD application processor hardware development experience (32/64bit CPUs)
  • Electronics engineering degree or significant relevant experience
  • Experience of high-speed interfaces (e.g. Serial ATA, PCI Express, 10G Ethernet)
  • Experience of power and signal integrity analysis and related tools
  • Detailed design review experience
  • Proven ability to clearly define and execute fault-finding at both the board and system level both during development and for support of product in the field.
  • Schematic Capture and PCB Layout (Ideally based on Cadence tools)
  •  Compliance testing experience (FCC, CE, UL)
  • Design for manufacturing and design for test
  • Hardware board bring up and debugging experience 
  • Inquisitive, self motivated and focused
  • Technical documentation including product specifications, test and assembly procedures

Valued Experience

  • Experience in server class products and/or the embedded market
  • Previous experience with contract manufacturing services
  • Hardware/Mechanical integration
  • Project management experience

Senior Systems Engineer

Job Description

The position of Senior Systems Engineer is required to architect and develop platform software for new products and benchmarking the products against other solutions in the market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and test device drivers and application specific software on Linux. 
  • Kernel configuration and patching.
  • Board bring up and evaluation of various SOC Hardware.

Essential Requirements

  • Low level Pcie device driver development on Linux. 
  • Experience in various Multi Core ARM processors cortex A-72, A-53, A-57 (or similar).
  • Embedded C, C++ programming.
  • Engineering level Degree or relevant experience
  • Linux build processes, deployment and testing.
  • Knowledge and experience of Linux file system structures, scripting and configuration.
  • Firmware development using integrated third party libraries.
  • Hands-on experience of system-level evaluation and benchmarking 
  • Low level device driver development (I2C, SPI, UART)
  • Various networking protocols. 
  • Able to work in Agile Driven Environment.
  • Documentation and version control
  • Good Knowledge in Reviewing Schematics, and Datasheets.

Job description

The position of Senior Applications Engineer is required to develop Application software for new products and validating them against industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and test Application Specific Software on Linux User Space.
  • Kernel configuration and interaction with Linux Kernel Space from User space.
  • Board bring up and evaluation of various SOC Hardware.

Channel Marketing Manager

We are looking for an experienced channel marketing manager to help recruit, train, enable and manage a growing network of channel partners. The candidate should have experience in representing IT solutions through the channel, and understand channel programs, requirements, marketing and how to make channel partners successful. Candidate should be entrepreneurial and independent and interested in helping to create and evolve Bamboo’s channel structure for maximum success.
